Hello! This is Jack from tofluency.com. It is currently Sunday afternoon and I have spent the last two hours or so assembling this bookcase. So, I finally got something new into the office. I'm very pleased with it - I think it looks good and it's going to be very practical.
Now, this morning, this YouTube channel reached a very important milestone: we reached 10,000 subscribers! And I can't tell you how pleased I am about this - how happy I am to reach this stage for this channel. I want to firstly thank you for being here: thank you for watching my videos; thank you for commenting, liking the videos, and obviously, as well, being a subscriber. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my lessons and to just to get involved with this community. So, moving forward, I hope to bring in many more English lessons, grow this community and make it one of the best for learning English on YouTube.
Now, what's interesting is that I have used the five-step plan that I talk about in my free book to help grow this audience - and I'm just going to talk a little bit about this. And it's going to give you a good example of how this plan is used and it will help you use it for yourself for your English learning. So firstly, I had a very clear goal here on youtube: I want to reach as many learners as possible and the first milestone for that is to reach 10,000 subscribers, so as I said before, I'm so happy to get to this stage. Now, I had this very specific goal in mind and this helped me create a plan of action for this - it helped me get focused on doing the right things in order to grow this audience.
Now, I've missed a step out because step two is all about the reason why you want to do this. So, I have very strong reasons for wanting to grow this audience, for example, I want to help as many learners as possible and I feel here on YouTube, this is one of the best ways to do this. So, to recap the first three steps: I had a very specific goal and then I created a plan on how to reach his goal and I used my reason why I wanted to reach this goal in order to keep
motivated - to be enthusiastic about putting in the work every day.
Step 4 is all about taking the plan and actually applying it in a practical way. So for me, it's finding the time every day to make a new video - it's also finding the time in my daily schedule to reply to comments and to do lots of other things to help me grow this channel. So for you, this is where your daily routine comes in - you can look at your daily routine and think about: how can I do more English? How can I do the things I know I need to do in order to reach a high level?
Step five is very important - it's all about taking action and staying consistent. So, you can have the best plan in the world but if you don't use this plan, then it's useless. So for me, it's about doing the work every day - staying consistent and what's really helped me is making a video every day for you guys because it allows me to get very focused on what I need to do and I get into the habit of making videos and helping you with my lessons. So, what I want you to do is to think about this plan, or better yet, go through it in my free book. Again if you haven't got this yet I highly recommend that you do. There is a link below that allows you to download it. Now, if you've already downloaded this book, then go through it again and consider getting my audio book where you can listen to this five-step plan - but you can also get more resources and information about how to apply it.
So, get this plan, go through it and stick to it. Ise what I talk about in section 5 to help you stay consistent.
