Follow these steps to confirm the site meets the minimum space and configuration requirements, before installing the HP Latex R Series printer:
- First, check the width of the route between the unloading area of the printer and the installation site, including any corridors and doorways.
- All pathways must be at least 2.05 meters, or 80.71 inches, wide to transport the printer.
- Make sure to have the minimum required space needed, remember the supplies and accessories take up space, too.
- The extension tables measure 0.94 meters, or 37 inches, while using them. It is recommended to add this dimension to the minimum required space on all sides of the printer.
- The production area floor must be able to withstand the weight and pressure of the printer.
- Remember that an electrician is required to set up and configure the building’s electrical system, which is used to power and install the printer.
- See the Site Preparation Guide for additional details, as different system configurations can be applied.
- To ensure the correct operation of the printer, the space will need adequate ventilation.
- The temperature, humidity, and temperature gradient during operation and during storage must be kept within the standard ranges.
- Fresh air ventilation is needed to maintain comfort levels. A minimum of 10 Air Changes per hour is required.
- For the installation day, you will need an R I P to use the printer, a set of supplies, 10 liters of distilled water and a piece of self-adhesive vinyl substrate for the printhead alignment process to be done during installation.
- If you have the HP Latex R Printer Series Roll Printing Kit accessory, don’t forget that you will need an air supply system.
- Do not plan for production during installation and training. Operator’s should be available for training during this period.
